Football: So Cal Sidelines Players of the Week (11/8/17)

Travis Dye rushed for 346 yards and six TDs on 38 carries and had two catches for 21 yards and a TD to lead Norco to an 83-42 victory over Roosevelt of Eastvale to clinch second place in the Big VIII League last week.

Dye scored on TD runs of 73, 7, 52, 1, 42 and 30 yards and he had a 12-yard TD reception.

Dye, a 5-10, 170-pounder headed to Oregon, has rushed for 1,986 yards and 28 TDs and has two TD receptions so far this season.

For his superb effort, Dye is So Cal Sidleines’ Inland Empire and So Cal Player of the Week.


LOS ANGELES PLAYER OF THE WEEK


Miguel Aguero completed 26 of 33 passes for 453 yards and five TDs to lead Schurr of Montebello to a 48-20 victory over Alhambra to capture the Almont League title.


ORANGE COUNTY PLAYER OF THE WEEK


JT Daniels completed 25 of 32 passes for 347 yards and five TDs with no interceptions to lead Mater Dei of Santa Ana to a 51-7 victory over rival Servite of Anaheim in the Trinity League finale for both teams. Daniels has thrown for 2,862 yards and 36 TDs with only three interceptions so far this season.


SAN DIEGO PLAYER OF THE WEEK


Jake Neufeld connected with Christian Estrella for a 17-yard TD pass and he hit Cole Miller with the 2-point conversion with 1:46 remaining for La Costa Canyon of Carlsbad to bring home the Golden Surfboard with a 27-21 win over district-rival Torrey Pines of San Diego. Neufeld completed 18 of 29 passes for 227 yards and had 26 carries for 145 yards, including TD runs of 26, 2 and 1 yards.
