Softball: So Cal Roundup (3/19/18) REV Gets Revved Up at Redlands Invitational

The So Cal Roundup for Monday, March 19.
Redlands East Valley picked up to big wins over Beaumont, 13-3, and Grand Terrace, 2-1, in pool play at the Redlands Invitational on Monday at Redlands East Valley High.
Amaya White went 2 for 3 with two doubles, a run and three RBI in the Wildcats win over Beaumont, ranked No. 17 in the IE.
M. San Pedro delivered drove in Kaile McKee with a double in the top of the eighth and Redlands East Valley held on for the victory over the Titans, ranked No. 10 in the IE, to improve to 2-2 on the season. Cal Baptist-bound Shelby Arbeiter hit a solo homer in the fourth for REV.
In other Redlands Invitational games:
Vista Murrieta 10, Riverside Poly 0: Fresno State-commit Alesia Denby went 2 for 2 in the win for the Broncos.
Vista Murrieta 5, Redlands 2: Denby went 2 for 2 with two homers for the Broncos.
Redlands 6, Colton 3: Jacey Leyvas went 2 for 3 with a double, a homer and two RBI and Nehri Tath-Slezak went 1 for 3 with a triple, two runs and an RBI for the Terriers.
Riverside Poly 17, Colton 6: Abby Hoseman went 3 for 4 with two doubles, Maddy Beschorner went 3 for 3 and Savannah Favre went 3 for 4 with a double to lift the Bears.
Valley View of Moreno Valley 10, Beaumont 8: Elizabeth Feld went 3 for 4 with two doubles, three runs and three RBI, Alexis Ruelas went 3 for 5 with a run, Tennessee-commit Caliyah Thompson went 3 for 5 with a double, three runs and two RBI, Kelsie Ekstrom went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI and Vanessa Carrizosa went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs and an RBI to help the Eagles, ranked No. 16 in the IE, outslug the Cougars.
Grand Terrace 3, Valley View of Moreno Valley 2: Ashlyn Zermeno hit a walk-off homer to lead off the bottom of the sixth for the Titans in the victory.
In the Jaguar Classic:
Ramona 6, Santana of Santee 1: Kim Reckling went 3 for 4 with a run and two RBI, Cal State Fullerton-bound Alexa Neil went 3 for 4 with a double and a run and UCLA-commit Seneca Curo hit a two-run homer as the Bulldogs, ranked No. 10 in San Diego, defeated the Sultans, ranked No. 7 in San Diego.
In the Hilltop Tournament:
Granite Hills of El Cajon 5, Steele Canyon of Spring Valley 1: USD-commit Catie Dobbs allowed four hits and struck out 12 in four innings to record the win, Cal State Fullerton-commit Staci Chambers homered and allowed no earned runs and struck out two in two innings to pick up the save and Amaya Esparza went 3 for 4 with a home run for the Eagles, ranked No. 12 in San Diego, in a victory over the Cougars, ranked No. 4 in San Diego.
In the Savanna Showcase:
Villa Park 6, San Clemente 4: North Dakota-bound Emily Rosas got the complete game win and went 1 for 3 with a double, Mikayla Klepfer went 2 for 3 with two doubles and three RBI and Makenna Mitchell went 1 for 2 with a walk and two runs as the Spartans, ranked No. 15 in the OC, defeated the Tritons, ranked No. 9 in the OC.
In the Falcon Fiesta Tournament:
Patrick Henry of San Diego 15, Hilltop of Chula Vista 0
Brawley 7, Oceanside 2
Eastlake of Chula Vista 4, Grossmont of El Cajon 0: Nana Fejeran and Oregon State-commit Sierra Tufts combined on a one-hit shutout and Hannah Slike went 2 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI as the Titans, ranked No. 9 in San Diego, beat the Foothillers, ranked No. 16 in San Diego.
In the Coastal Canyon League:
Camarillo 3, Simi Valley 0: Cal State Northridge-commit Eryka Gonzales pitched a two-hitter with two walks and 10 strikeouts and Bianca Gutierrez went 2 for 2 with two doubles, a rn and a stolen base for the Scorpions, ranked No. 1 in LA and No. 10 in So Cal, in the victory over the Pioneers, ranked No. 19 in LA.
In the Gold Coast League:
Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth 23, Viewpoint of Calabasas 0: Sacramento State-bound Alyssa Nunez threw a no-hitter with nine strikeouts in four innings and Sarah Schneider hit for the cycle and drove in six runs for the Trailblazers.
In the Marine League:
Banning of Wilmington 15, George Washington Prep of Los Angeles 0: Boise State-commit Angelina Devoe tossed a no-hitter with one walk and 13 strikeouts in five innings to lead the Pilots.
In the Pacific View League:
Rio Mesa of Oxnard 9, Hueneme of Oxnard 0: Utah-commit Alicia Estrada and Janessa Pena combined on a no-hitter with Estrada striking out nine in four innings and Kianna Abellera went 2 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI for the Spartans, ranked No. 8 in LA.
In nonleague games:
Valencia of Magic Mountain 2, Granada Hills Charter 1: Cal State San Bernardino-bound Kelia Paragas stole home to give the Vikings, ranked No. 3 in LA and No. 14 in So Cal, the walk-off win with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. Texas-bound Shea O’Leary allowed one hit, one run, two walks and struck out nine to pick up the complete game victory for Valencia.
Newbury Park 10, St. Bonaventure of Ventura 2: Ciara Davis went 3 for 4 with two RBI, Ruby Cota homered and drove in two runs and Sophia Morales went 2 for 4 with two RBI for the Panthers, ranked No. 12 in LA, in the victory.
Etiwanda 8, West Covina 1: Michigan-commit Juju Jimenez went 3 for 4 with a double, a homer, two runs and four RBI for the Eagles, ranked No. 7 in the IE, in the win.
Christian of El Cajon 8, El Capitan of Lakeside 5: Mallory Steele had an RBI single and Audrey Sheblonski had a two-run single as the Patriots, ranked no. 18 in San Diego, rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh to pull out a victory over the Vaqueros.
