In the Baseline League:
Chino Hills 8, Rancho Cucamonga 0: Freshman Kayla Chavez went 1 for 3 with a run and three RBI, Makena Brocki went 3 for 4 with a run and two RBI and Reese Vargas went 3 for 3 with two doubles, two rusn and three RBI to help the Huskies (22-4, 5-0), ranked No. 2 in the IE and No. 9 in So Cal, beat the Cougars (10-7, 1-4).
Upland 4, Los Osos of Rancho Cucamonga 0: Freshman Sarah Haendiges tossed a two-hitter with nine strikeouts to lift the Scots (13-5-1, 3-2), ranked No. 5 in the IE and No. 17 in So Cal, over the Grizzlies (7-10, 2-3).
In the Crestview League:
Yorba Linda 4, Foothill of Santa Ana 1: Sequoia Bauerle went 2 for 2 with a two-run shot, Kelli Grady went 2 for 4 with two RBI and UT Arlington-bound Allie Gardiner threw a four-hitter with no walks and 14 strikeouts to lead the Mustangs (13-6, 4-0), ranked No. 13 in the OC.
In the Freeway League:
Sunny Hills of Fullerton 17, Buena Park 0
In the North Hills League:
Brea Olinda 7, Villa Park 4
In the Valley Mission League:
Kennedy of Granada Hills 11, San Fernando 8: Hawaii-commit Tiare La Porte went 3 for 4 with a double, two homers and four RBI and Bianca Morales went 3 for 4 with a double and two runs for the Cougars (19-8, 9-0) in the victory over the Tigers (14-10, 7-2).
In the West Valley League:
El Camino Real of Woodland Hills 10, Taft of Woodland Hills 0: Jillian Kelly and Sophie Pritchard combined on the shutout for the Conquistadores (13-10, 7-1).
In the North County Tournament:
Mission Hills of San Marcos 10, Del Norte of San Diego 0: Washington-bound Ari Quinones homered and Malama Unutoa, Catie Villalobos and Ally Amato drove in two runs apiece to lead the Grizzlies (16-8), ranked No. 6 in San Diego, past the Nighthawks (8-11)
In nonleague games:
Mira Costa of Manhattan Beach 2, Pacifica of Garden Grove 1: Freshman Katie Katzuyama pitched a six-hitter with three strikeouts to get the complete game win, Piper Neri had the game-tying run with an RBI double in the third and Serena Ponciano drove in the winning run with a ground out as the Mustangs (13-9-1) knocked off the Mariners (13-9), ranked No. 9 in the OC.
Steele Canyon of Spring Valley 8, Our Lady of Peace of San Diego 0: Amanda Whipple went 3 for 4 with a run and two RBI, Jazmin Alvarado went 2 for 3 with a triple and two runs and Bianca Morales went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs and an RBI for the Cougars (15-7), ranked No. 14 in San Diego.
Grossmont of El Cajon 11, High Tech of San Diego 1: Ally Allmann went 2 for 2 with a grand slam and five RBI for the Foothillers (19-7), ranked No. 16 in San Diego.
La Costa Canyon of Carlsbad 17, La Jolla Country Day 5
Laguna Hills 6, San Juan Hills of Capistrano 2: UC Santa Barbara-bound Teah Thies went 2 for 3 with a two-run blast, Presbyterian College-bound Taylor Ward had an RBI single, Concordia Irvine-bound Erika Morris had a single and a sacrifice fly and UC Riverside-bound Megan Casper struck out five to get the complete game win for the Hawks (11-6), ranked No. 20 in the OC.
